Newberry Award Winners
The Newbery Medal is presented every year (since 1922) by the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), a division of the American Library Association (ALA). Named after John Newbery, a noted eighteenth-century London publisher and bookseller, the Newbery Medal honors the author of the most outstanding American children's book of the year.
